Traffic Alert: Slater Road reopened after flood closure

Whatcom County Public Works reopened Slater Road this morning shortly after 7am. It had been closed due to flood water over the road since Thursday, November 23rd.

In addition, Marine Drive has been reopened but drivers are warned to expect water and debris over the road.

Ferndale Road, between Slater Road and Marine Drive remains closed has also been reopened and drivers can also expect water and debris over the road.

As of 9am, access to VanderYacht Park’s parking lot, Tennant Lake and Hovander Homestead Park remained closed. Access to the Washington Department of Fish & Wildlife boat launch reopened yesterday.
