Weather is blamed for temporarily stopping ferry service between Lummi Island and Gooseberry Point officials announced about 9am this morning. Assumedly high winds this morning were a factor in the decision.
No estimate for resuming service was given.
A High Wind Warning is in effect until noon today as gusts to 60mph are expected. Gusts over 70mph have been reported in the Ferndale area since midnight.
Officials announced the ferry is back in service and running a modified schedule.
