Man dead after crash on Kwina and Lummi Shore Roads

Lummi Police were reported to be performing CPR on one person after responding to a report of a crash just after 9:30am this morning at the intersection of Kwina Road and Lummi Shore Road.

According to the Washington State Patrol. A 67-year-old Mountain View, California man, Raymond Loughlin, had suffered an unknown medical emergency while driving a 1996 Ford F150 pickup eastbound on Kwina Road approaching the stop sign at Lummi Shore Road. Medical crews responded but Loughlin was declared dead at the scene.

The other vehicle in the crash, a 2015 Acura MDX SUV, was driven by Patricia Loughlin, age 69, also of Mountain View, California.

According to the WSP, the Ford pickup was eastbound on Kwina when it left the roadway to the right, struck a fence and struck the Acura SUV that had just turned southbound from Kwina Road onto Lummi Shore Road.
