Homecoming planned for Cal Ripken World Series Champions’ return tonight

This story will be updated with more accurate timing after 7pm and as information is available.

8pm: The team vans are reported to be an hour or less away.

7:10pm: The team is one the final leg of their cross-country journey home. Baring any traffic surprises, they are expected to arrive at 9pm, give or take 10 minutes.

6:15pm: The team and coaches have landed at SeaTac Airport. They have television interviews to do and need to collect their luggage before boarding the vans for the 2 hour drive home.


Players and coaches from the Ferndale 12u Major 60 Cal Ripken World Series championship team are expected to arrive in Ferndale around 9pm tonight (give or take 30 minutes) after a long cross-country flight and a long drive from Seattle-Tacoma International Airport.

Neighbors can expect to hear sirens wail and see lights flash as the two vans carrying the newly crowned World Series champions are escorted by local fire and police agency vehicles down Main Street from I-5 on their way to Ferndale High School.

The community is invited to line Main Street west of I-5 to greet and cheer the team and coaches.

Players are Landen Hatchett #1, Isaiah Carlson #2, Conner Walcker #3, Hunter Jones #5 (Meridian), Andrew James #9, Tipton Bundy #10, Giovanni Contreras #12, Jordan Mason #15, Dylan Strom #17, Jacob Mason #22, Lane Oostra #23, Sean Morrison #24. Coaches are Dean Oostra #19 and Hank Schwarz #33 and team manager is Bill Hatchett #27.
