The National Weather Service Seattle office has issued a High Wind
Watch Warning beginning 7pm midnight Monday evening and continuing through 7am noon Tuesday.
According to the alert, sustained south winds of 25 to
35mph 40mph with gusts to 55mph 60mph are expected throughout much of western Washington with the most certainty along the coast and in the north interior, which includes the Ferndale area. The strongest winds will likely occur late overnight Monday and into early Tuesday morning.
The system bringing the high winds is also expected to produce some rain.
